The M47 uses a 47mm set of tapered steel burrs coated in its own proprietary material for longer drilling time. The adjustment is done with 50 clicks per turn of the dial which corresponds to 0.01 mm vertical movement. In our recommendation, 1.5 to 2 full revolutions of 0 are suitable for Turkish coffee, 2.5-3.5 for espresso, 4-6 for pouring and 6.5-7.5 for very coarse quantities.
A 20 gram espresso dose takes about 30-50 seconds to grind, larger cans with coarse settings last approx. 20-40 seconds
Kinus know-how for fine engineering is shown in the M47 hand sander from almost every angle. The M47 is mainly made of steel with ABS plastic accents. Total capacity is about 30-40 grams, depending on the bean size and level. Kinu recommends regular cleaning with just a dry brush or cloth, disassembly is easy.
