To cook chips in an air fryer, you will need:
-
- Potatoes (russet, Yukon gold, or other starchy potatoes work well)
-
- Oil (vegetable, canola, or peanut oil work well)
-
- Salt (optional)
Here’s a basic recipe you can follow:
-
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
-
- Wash and slice the potatoes into thin wedges or chips. If you prefer, you can also peel the potatoes first.
-
- Place the potato slices in a bowl and drizzle with oil. Toss the potatoes to coat them evenly with the oil.
-
- Transfer the potatoes to the basket of the air fryer in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the basket.
-
- Cook the potatoes for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. If you prefer your chips to be extra crispy, you can cook them for an additional 2-3 minutes.
-
- Remove the chips from the air fryer and sprinkle with salt, if desired. Serve immediately.
Note: The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your chips and the make and model of your air fryer. You may need to experiment a bit to find the perfect cooking time for your specific air fryer.
