Not only are cast iron pots and pans versatile, their heat retaining properties lend themselves to healthier cooking. This includes water based cooking methods such as braising and poaching as well as quick grilling and roasting with minimal oil required. A well seasoned pan requires only a small amount of oil and it is very easy to clean up after the cook. The more you use it the more seasoned it becomes, a great excuse to use it regularly.

Naturally Non-Stick (subject to required seasoning and precautions), cast iron pans are free from synthetic coatings like teflon which may be harmful to health.

A well cared for pan will give generations of use and produce endless delicious dishes. After use, scrub the pan clean under warm water, dry completely and apply a thin layer of oil. If your new pans stick or you accidentally remove some of the seasoning during scrubbing then don’t worry. We can accelerate the build up of a seasoning layer by applying a thin layer of oil and putting the pan in a hot oven for an hour. Let the pan cool in the oven and repeat the process 2 or 3 times until the surface of the pan becomes smooth and shiny.
